M. Assumpció Colomer Arcas has a degree in History from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1982) and holds a Master’s degree in Archival Studies from the same University (1989-1990). She started her professional career working in archeology, managing museums, restoration, document management and cultural dissemination (1982-1987). Then, in 1987, she began working at the General Archives at the Diputació de Girona, and later, from 1990 until 2006, she was the municipal archivist in Salt (Girona). She has also curated a number of exhibitions and is the author, co-author and collaborator of more than sixty articles and books research and dissemination related to cultural heritage. She has also collaborated with the International Council on Archives (Municipal and Territorial Archives Sections) on creating the Bibliografia internacional d’arxius municipals (2001-2004), that was presented in 2004, in Vienna.
