Albert Gispert-Saüch, born in 1989, has carried out various tasks in his professional career in the areas of culture, education and photography.
A graduate of the Universitat de Girona in 2015 with a degree in History, and having finished the Postgraduate Degree in Management, Preservation and Dissemination of Photographic Archives from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2017 and the Master’s Degree in Cultural Management from the Open University of Catalunya in 2018, in recent years he has been working in the culture field as a technician and/or collaborator at institutions such as the Diputació de Girona (INSPAI)—internship—, the City Council of Sant Gregori, Òmnium Gironès, and the Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia (IEFC), in which he collaborated on the Galmes collection, among other tasks.
He is currently a technician in the Area of Culture of the GEiEG, an organization that carries out both cultural activities its members as well as the development of the organization’s archives, in conjunction with the Girona Municipal Archives. It is worth highlighting the participation of GEiEG in 2019 on the European project WeAre#EuropeForCulture, carried out in collaboration with the Image Research and Dissemination Center of the Girona Municipal Archives, the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), the Photoconsortium and the company Noterik (software development). As part of this project, they were able to conduct an archiving workshop on hundreds of historical images from the GEiEG sections, which finalised with an interactive exhibition, now available electronically on the Photoconsortium website
