David Iglésias Franch is the Head of the Photographic and Audiovisual Documentation Section at the Girona City Council. He’s a coordinator and professor in the postgraduate program in Management, Preservation and Diffusion of Photograph Archives (ESAGED-UAB) and since 2018, he’s also a professor in the Archival Studies Master’s degree program (ESAGED-UAB). On the international scale, since 2016 he’s been the President of the Group of Experts on photograph and audiovisual records at the International Council on Archives. Since 2014 he’s an executive board member at the International Consortium for Photographic Heritage (Photoconsortium) being a specialist advisor in photography.
“Esport i cultura: un exercici de memòria oral sobre la base dels fons fotogràfics” [Sport and culture: an oral memory exercise about the base of photography fonds]
This presentation will discuss the experience of the CRDI in organizing a workshop to get the community engaged in the archive’s amateur sports fonds, in an effort to promote community interest. The result of the experience is a virtual exposition that’s included in the European project “WeAreEuropeForCulture”.
